INDEX: - Main Characters - Secondary Characters MAIN CHARACTERS Squall Leonheart Age: 17 Weapon: Gunblade Limit Break: Renzokuken Squall is the main character of Final Fantasy VIII, he entered the Balamb Garden when he was very young and there he immediatly met Seifer and Quistis. Squall is the eternal rival of Seifer, in fact since the beginning of the game, Seifer will make him notice his irresponsible attitude. Squall is the coldest character of the game, but he'll begin to change his attitude thanks to the meeting with Rinoa. Squall has more weapon than any other character. He has few secondary limit breaks that are chosen randomly after the Renzokuken, but the last of these is the most spectacular and it's the one that makes more damage. Rinoa Heartilly Age: 17 Weapon: Blaster Edge Limit Break: Combine Rinoa is the boss of the Forest Owls, the only Timber resistance active group against Deling, the president of Galbadia. She's the only one that succeeds to make Squall change his attitude during the game. She's Squall's opposite and she has great hopes, even if Squall says that they don't rebel to Galbadia so seriously. She has few weapons of which the last is the most beatiful, and lots of secondary limit breaks, all random, and she has the most powerful of these, after Squall's Lion Heart: the Wishing Star, limit break in combination with Angelo that is her dog. Later in the game, Rinoa will be able to use the limit break Angel Wing, but it's not reccomended to use this limit break because you will lose the control on her and she will randomly cast a spell. Rinoa uses some of the secondary limit breaks during the battle even if you didn't use Combine with Angelo. Quistis Trepe Age: 18 Weapon: Whip Limit Break: Blue Magic Quistis is the first female character to meet Squall when he arrives to the Balamb Garden. Zell will show his childish attitude since the beginning of the game, but he's a sincere person and he gives a lot of encouragement to the group. Zell is also the second character that you'll meet that hasn't random secondary limit breaks. Selphie Tilmitt Age: 17 Weapon: Nunchaku Limit Break: Slots Selphie is the second character that you meet during the story of Final Fantasy 8 and, like Zell, she has a childish attitude and she is loyal to the orders that she recieves. The limit break of Sephie is the random use of the spells that you have, that will be repeated for a maximum of five times. Irvine Kinneas Age: 17 Weapon: Shotgun Limit Break: Shot Irvine is the last character to join the group of Squall & Co. Since the beginning of Final Fantasy 8, Irvine will show him as a "latin lover".
